What is looked forward to achieve Goals?

By 2015 it is expected to maintain the ecology integrity of representative samples of ecological systems to allow MAR resilience (at least at the current levels).

The Program goals are to promote, coordinate, facilitate and speed up marine-coast conservation in the area to promote synergies avoiding duplicity of effort.

To reach these goals specific site information obtained by monitoring will be used to identify outstanding areas suitable to start demonstrative management and conservation processes. MAR Program strategy is centered in five themes:

1. Building a Protected Area Network
2. Managing Platform Sites
3. Involving and Training Stakeholders
4. Providing Alternative Livelihoods
5. Supporting Policies
